Shafiq Jamal was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1974. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D.
degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California at Davis in 1996, 1999, and
2001, respectively.
He was an Adjunct Professor from 2002 to 2005 at Santa Clara U
