In modern hybrid electric vehicles, wide-input-range intermediate bus converters (IBCs) are essential in 48V power systems [1]. To increase the power efficiency, e-mode GaN FETs have been adopted in the IBCs [2, 3], as they offer much smaller on-resistance and thus conduction loss than silicon power FETs.
