The fifth-generation (5G) New-Radio (NR) standard has been developed for high data-rate communication, with the RF channel bandwidth (BW) extending to several hundred megahertz. In this context, the presence of blockers imposes stringent in-band (IB) and adjacent-channel linearity requirements for receivers (RX). Mixer-first RXs [1-4] have attempted to address these challenges by implementing a baseband (BB) input impedance (ZBB) with a steep roll-off greater than the conventional 20dB/dec, resulting in sharp nearby filtering at RX input. Though a passive gain through capacitor stacking can be achieved [4], the trade-off between noise figure (NF) and power consumption (PDC) remains an issue in mixer-first RXs. Moreover, the attempts to improve adjacent-channel linearity typically result in increased PDC without contribution to far-out blocker suppression, degrading power efficiency [1,3,4].
