📄 原文摘要

Ultra-wideband (UWB) imaging systems achieve high depth resolution. UWB timed arrays use a collection of spaced antennas to achieve azimuth selectivity as well [1]. The recent trend in realization of integrated beam-formers is to use a silicon process [13]. Prior UWB implementations have focused on beam scanning where a combination of antenna arrays and beam-former chips are used to form and scan one electromagnetic beam in different directions. In addition, all the reported integrated silicon chips have been designed for one-dimensional (1D) linear arrays. In this paper, a UWB imaging camera with 7×7 active pixels is reported (Fig. 6.3.1). The UWB camera consists of a CMOS chip that interfaces with 2×2 3D omni-directional UWB antennas. This receiving camera forms 7×7 simultaneous beams in two dimensions and includes an array of on-chip pulse-energy detectors for each active pixel. With 3cm of spacing between antenna
