from HD to 4K2K, which will further extend to 8K4K / portable 4K2K. With advancements in device fabrication process technologies, there has been a pressing need for the miniaturization as well as high resolution and high sensitivity in image sensors [1]. Although using a longer exposure time and adding charge are effective techniques to improve sensitivity, they cause more significant motion blur and degradation in resolution, respectively. In order to overcome these disadvantages, we use a dual-resolution-and-exposure (DRE) technique with a motion-compensation algorithm, which is demonstrated using a camera with 3 CMOS sensors.
