By multiplexing the 1x, 3x and 9x outputs, the frequency can be continuously varied between 1 to 50MHz. The temperature sensor configuration is merely obtained by connecting the ring oscillator positive supply (Vr) to the amplifier negative input (Vm) so that both currents and voltages are equal across the ring oscillator and resistor
