Based on the comparison result, the chargepump-based integrator adjusts VC1. For instance, if VSEN is lower than VREF,EXT, VC1 is reduced by one step (10mV) to increase tDelay1 for the next Φ1. When VEnd1 is asserted, Φ2 begins as the rising edge of VEnd1 triggers the unit block for Φ2. After tDelay2, the comparator in this unit block compares VSEN and VREF,EXT like the one in the unit block for Φ1 but with opposite polarity. If VSEN is higher than VREF,EXT, VC2 is reduced by one step to increase tDelay2 for the next Φ2.
