Charging the battery embedded in IMDs using conductors poses the risks of infection and aversion to surgery, leading to the development of wireless power transfer (WPT) technology. However, challenges related to body tissue heating and electromagnetic field exposure regulations must be managed, while maintaining small system sizes to enhance patient preference.
