A wireless link at 920MHz powers the tag for in-vivo measuring pH in the plant as a key stress indicator. The pH data are backscattered to the link through an XOR- based multiplexer, enabling a single miniature antenna to establish simultaneous power and data link over 80cm distance. More than 30-days in-vivo plant stress monitoring was successfully demonstrated for future smart farming.
